Thama Trailer Launch Event
The trailer of Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana’s new film “Thama” took the internet by storm on Friday. The trailer for “Thama” was released on Friday. The trailer launch event was held in Bandra, Mumbai. This is the fifth film in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe. Previously, “Stree,” “Bhediya,” “Munjya,” and “Stree 2” have both made audiences laugh and scare.

The trailer packs everything in – romance, horror, gore, and yes, that odd joke thrown in every now and then.
Now, a few points that really stand out:
Vampire and witchcraft vibe: The director seems to have mixed the entire spice of vampire stories into the trailer. It’s labeled a horror-comedy, but it’s a mix of love story and strange supernatural elements – a complete time-pass.
The trailer, however, showed everything, leaving out the plot. As for the rest, I enjoyed watching it – we’ll find out what the film will be like when it releases in theatres.

The trailer hints at a deep love story between Alok (Ayushmann) and Rashmika, but there will be many obstacles and conflicts between them—possibly the fact that they come from two different worlds.

It seems like, after seeing Ayushmann’s condition, he’ll say, “Let’s turn him into a demon too, let’s add some spice.” And then the same scene as in Bhediya – the family is devastated, Ayushmann’s sharp teeth, Paresh Rawal’s brilliant one-liner – giving off Doctor Ghunghru vibes.

Looking at the figures, Ayushmann Khurrana was paid 8-10 crores, Rashmika Mandanna 5-7 crores, Nawazuddin Siddiqui 3-4 crores, and Paresh Rawal around 2 crores. The direction is handled by Aditya Sarpodar, who has a proven track record—making blockbusters like Munja for 30 crores and delivering box office returns of 130 crores.
