India's population has now reached 146.39 crores—that is, it has increased further

Title of “most populous country” now belongs to India, leaving China behind.

The generation rate has remained at 1.9 percent, which is going below the generation rate of 2.1. Now fewer children are being born,

The 2021 census was supposed to be conducted, but it is getting delayed. Now we will have to wait till March 2027.

The report estimates that 68% of the population in India is of working age (15-64 years).

The elderly population (65 years and above) is 7%, but in the future, due to improvements in medical and lifestyle, this population will increase further.

Life expectancy for men is estimated to be 71 years and for women 74 years.
