The BJP has announced that Rekha Gupta will take on the role of Delhi’s Chief Minister.
She has been elected MLA for the first time from Shalimar Bagh seat
In the BJP meeting, everyone together elected him as the leader. The new Chief Minister of Delhi and his cabinet will take oath on February 20 at Ramlila Maidan.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken control of Delhi after 27 years. In the recently held assembly elections, the BJP defeated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and won 48 out of 70 seats.
After this, the question arose as to who would be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. The curtain was lifted on this on Wednesday evening.
Now Rekha Gupt will become the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on February 20. Former chief ministers Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi have been invited to attend it. Preparations have been made for about 1.5 lakh people to attend the ceremony.
