Apart from this, there will be a strict ban on selling meat in an area of 500 meters around every religious place. Strict action will also be taken against unlicensed and illegal slaughterhouses, so that the rules can be fully followed. Citing orders issued in 2014 and 2017, the Yogi government said that illegal slaughter of animals and selling of meat near religious places will be completely banned. To properly implement this ban, committees will be formed at the district level, which will be headed by the District Magistrate. The job of these committees will be to ensure that all rules and orders are being followed properly.
Ban on selling meat near religious places:
Now selling meat within 500 meters of religious places is completely prohibited. The purpose behind this is to respect religious sentiments. This maintains the sanctity around these holy places. It is important for everyone to follow this rule so that everyone’s feelings can be taken care of.
Strict action on illegal slaughterhouses:
The government has decided that a special campaign will be launched to close illegal slaughterhouses. The main objective of this campaign is to close all the slaughterhouses which are operating illegally.
Formation of District Committees:
The district committees have been formed in such a way that they include police department officials who will look after law and order. Apart from this, there will be health department officials who will take care of health related matters. Also, there will be food safety department officials who will ensure the quality and safety of food items.
Strict monitoring:
The government will implement this order strictly. Strict monitoring will be done for this and action will be taken against anyone who does not follow this rule. This will ensure that everyone follows this order completely.
